We Have An Anchor

May 15, 2014 | courage, faith

This past year of grief God has seen me at my best and my worst, and He had to have been hurt by my tumblings of anguish, my slashes of anger, and my scrapings of despair. It amazes me that He has not wavered one bit in His perfect love for me.

If we are unfaithful, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is. 2 Timothy 2:13 NLT

God is love, it is who He is, and He cannot, in His perfection, deny who He is. The same perfect love that held Him to the cross holds me to His bosom, even when I’m pounding my fists against it.

It is safely moored, ’twill the storm withstand,
For ’tis well secured by the Savior’s hand;
And the cables passed from His heart to mine,
Can defy the blast, through strength divine.
